  • Presenter notes

Use cases

  • Quickly customizing and personalizing your demos for prospects in a discovery call

  • Showing demos of different data to various stakeholders

  • Scaling reps to show consistent demos at large scale

How to build sandbox demos

Sandbox demos are built after you record your product screens using the "Record HTML" option. Once you have recorded various screens needed for your demo, then you can build links between captured screens to simulate a live demo experience.

Linking screens

  • Choose Element in the captured screen,

  • Select the 'link' icon and choose the target screen

  • While creating a link, pick how to link the element "All Screens" vs "Only this Screen".

    • "All Screens" -> Automatically search for the element across all screens to create a link. (this is useful if you have the same element repeating in different screens, so you don't have to repeatedly create links on each screen)

    • "Only this Screen" -> Will create a link only for the current screen (this is useful if you want to have different linking for the same element from different screens)

Here is the example story on how to set it up.

πŸ‘‰ Tip: Shortcut Key to Highlight Links

You can use a shortcut key to find links in your HTML demo. Press β€œCtrl” to instantly highlight all clickable links in blue color.

Auto-Linking screens

During HTML recording, the screens you capture are automatically linked to their respective buttons by default. If you want to turn off auto-linking, refer to the provided guide.

Presenter Notes

The Presenter Notes feature is designed to empower your sales team with step-by-step scripted guidance for each part of your sandbox demos.

Now, sales reps can deliver every demo with the confidence and precision of your top performers.

Available only in the HTML demos.

How Does It Work?

  1. Setup Your Notes:

    • Navigate to the HTML Editor of the demo you wish to edit within Storylane.

    • Open the 'Presenter Notes' from the right-side menu.

    • Enter your scripted guidance or key points in the "Presenter Note" section.

    • Once you are done, click the 'Save' button

  2. Delivering Your Demo:

    • Launch your sandbox demo as usual.

    • Initialize Presenter Notes by clicking the Storylane extension, then refresh the page.

    • As you progress through each step, the corresponding Presenter Notes will appear on your screen, visible only to you.

    • Click on it, and follow the script or key points in your Presenter Note to deliver a consistent and impactful demo.

If Presenter Notes are not showing up, initialize them by clicking the Storylane extension, then refresh the page. The Presenter Notes should now appear.
