Ready to build your first demo? Create a Storylane account and follow these steps to get started!
π Record your demo
Storylane supports a number of ways to record product screens:
1. Chrome extension (Recommended)
Install Storylane's Chrome extension to record Screenshot (static) and HTML/CSS (responsive) demos. If you're planning to create a Guided Demo, select an AI tone to generate contextual guide content.

2. Alternate recording options
A few more options to record screens with Storylane:
Figma plugin: Download our Figma plugin to turn your Figma frames into interactive demos
Mac app: Download our Mac desktop app to capture multi-window, non-web screens
Manual: If you have existing screenshots and videos, drag and upload directly to Storylane
Video to demo (Coming soon): Convert existing product videos into interactive demos!
π Edit your demo
Once you've finished recording your product screens, head over to Storylane to edit on-screen content, blur sensitive data, add guides, zooms, forms, triggers, tokens, videos, voiceovers, chapters, and more. Need help perfecting your demos? Just prompt our AI editor to make the changes you're looking for.

π Share your demo
Once your demo is ready, share it with the world. Embed on your website, attach in email campaigns, share Buyer Hubs, download demos for offline use, and more. Meanwhile, we're tracking everything: account engagement, demo metrics, and intent signals β pushed straight to your CRM and GTM stack.
