# Seismic

Create and share interactive demos directly within Seismic

#### **Overview**

The Storylane app for Seismic adds a Storylane tab to the Seismic left navigation. From there, your team can browse your demo and hub library, copy demo links, and send personalized, tracked links to prospects. Those links can then be added to WorkSpace, Library, and Digital Sales Rooms like any other Seismic content.

**What this enables:**

* Access demos where you already work: Find any published Storylane demo or hub from inside Seismic.
* Personalized, tracked links: Generate a per-recipient demo link and get notified the moment it's viewed.
* Demos alongside your other content: Add demo links to WorkSpace, Library, or a DSR so they sit next to the rest of your sales material.

### **Prerequisites**

1\. Active Storylane Account - An active Storylane workspace with published demos ready to share. Any Storylane plan that supports demo creation and sharing works.\
\
2\. Seismic User Account- A valid Seismic login with access to WorkSpace, Library, or Digital Sales Rooms, depending on where you'll use demos.\
\
3\. Storylane App Enabled in Seismic - The Storylane app must be installed from the Seismic App Exchange and enabled by a Seismic administrator. Depending on your organization, you may also need:

* Permission to add content to WorkSpace or Library
* Permission to create or manage Digital Sales Rooms
* Admin approval for third-party integrations

### What You Can Do in the Storylane Tab

Open Storylane from the Seismic left navigation to see your library:

* Demos and Hubs tabs: browse your demos, or your hubs if your workspace has any.
* Search and filters: find demos by name, switch between demo lists, or filter by label.
* Copy link: copy a demo's link to use anywhere in Seismic.
* Share: open the Share and send screen (see below).
* Settings (gear icon): view the signed-in user, switch workspaces, or sign out.

**Share and Send**\
Click Share on any demo to open the Share and send screen. Enter a recipient's email or company domain, and Storylane generates a personalized demo link for them. You'll get instant notifications when they view it, so you can follow up while interest is fresh.

#### Adding a Demo to WorkSpace or a Digital Sales Room

1. Open the Storylane tab in the Seismic left navigation and find your demo.
2. Click Copy link, or use Share to generate a tracked, per-recipient link.
3. Add the link as URL content in Seismic. Use WorkSpace for personal use, or Library to make it available team-wide.
4. If you added it to Library, publish the content item.
5. Add it to a Digital Sales Room like any other Seismic asset.

{% hint style="info" %}
Demos only appear in Seismic search once the content item is published. Unpublished items won't show up, even if "Storylane" is in the name. This applies to both WorkSpace and Library, and to both link-type and page-type content.
{% endhint %}

### Common Use Cases

* Sales enablement: give reps quick access to interactive demos from the tool they already use.
* Prospect follow-up: send a personalized, tracked demo link after a call and get notified when it's viewed.
* Digital Sales Rooms: add demos to a DSR so buyers get a hands-on, self-paced product experience alongside your other materials.
* Team-wide content: publish key demos to Library so the whole team shares the same up-to-date links.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.storylane.io/integrations-demo-suite/integrations-and-data-flow/seismic.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
