Blur Screen

Go to "Screen Edit" → Click "Blur" → Draw a region → Save.
To undo, click the X in the blurred area.

Crop Screen

Go to "Screen Edit" → Click "Crop" → Adjust the area → Save.
To revert, expand the crop handles back to the original size.

✔️ Tip: Keep ‘Lock aspect ratio’ checked to maintain demo proportions.

Track & Zoom

Guide focus to key areas:

Select a screen → Click the Magnifying Glass icon.
Position the beacon on the desired area.
Adjust the Zoom percentage as needed.

Replace Background

Click "Replace Background" → Choose a new screen → Click "Replace".

Dark & Light Mode

Customize your demo's appearance:

Click the Mode Selector.
Choose Dark Mode or Light Mode.

💡 Or, remove the “safari” style screen entirely.

Fullscreen Mode

Before using fullscreen:

Open demo settings (gear icon).
Check Frame color (light/dark).
Republish the demo.
Open the demo URL → Click the Fullscreen icon.

Cover, Fit, and Fill

Cover, Fit, and Fill automatically adjust how images/screens are displayed within your demo, cropping or scaling them to fit seamlessly when their dimensions don’t match the demo’s aspect ratio.

In the Demo Editor, Cover, Fit, and Fill are accessible from the left-side toolbar, and there are 4 options:

Cover mode: expands the image to fully cover the entire demo area, slightly cropping the edges if necessary.
Fit mode: Scales the content to fit the demo's width or height without cropping, potentially adding padding to maintain the full view.
Fill mode: The current logic when capturing demos, filling out the demo area.
Different aspect ratio: When prompted, it lets you set the current screen’s aspect ratio as the default for your entire demo. This is useful if the current screen’s layout best fits your content, allowing all screens to align with this shape.

💡 Note: For demos with both landscape and portrait images/screens, it’s best to set the aspect ratio to the landscape. This way, portrait images can fit within the wider frame more easily, while a portrait aspect ratio would cut off the sides of landscape images.

Why is Part of My Demo Cut Off?

If part of your demo is cut off, it’s often due to mismatched aspect ratio settings or how the Cover feature is applied. Follow these steps to adjust the display and minimize cropping:

Check Aspect Ratio: Ensure that your demo’s aspect ratio aligns with the dimensions of your images. The aspect ratio you choose for the demo will affect how each step or image is displayed—some images may be cropped to fit the selected aspect ratio.
Review Cover, Fit, and Fill Settings: Double-check whether images are set to "Cover", "Fit" or "Fill". Use "Cover" to fully cover the demo area but may crop parts of the image, "Fit" to maintain the image’s original dimensions with padding if needed, and "Fill" to apply the default logic when capturing demos, filling out the demo area.
Adjust Step Settings: Review each step to confirm that the images are displaying as intended. When steps or images of varying dimensions are combined, they may need slight adjustments for consistency.
Fine-Tune Cropping with the Crop Tool: If an important part of an image is being cut off in "Cover" mode, use the Crop feature to control the crop area. Adjust the crop to keep the essential parts of the image in view, and check the "Lock Aspect Ratio" option to ensure it aligns with the demo’s aspect ratio.

💡 Use the "Apply to All Steps" Flag: If you’ve made adjustments to one screen and want to apply them to all screens, enable the "Apply to All Steps" flag to ensure consistent settings throughout your demo.

💡 Note: Cropping and aspect ratio adjustments are especially helpful when merging demos with images of different orientations, such as landscape and portrait. Selecting the best aspect ratio and using the crop tools effectively will help create a cohesive, visually appealing demo with minimal cropping.
