Hey Storylaners! Here's what shipped in the past few weeks.
π¬ Comments
Leave pinned feedback directly on any demo step β tied to a specific position on screen, not a separate doc or Slack thread.
Click anywhere on the canvas to drop a pin and start a thread
Threads support replies and resolve/reopen
Side panel shows all threads across every step β jump to any comment instantly
Demo owner and anyone in a thread gets an email with a direct link to the exact step and comment
Team members only for now. Free external reviewer access is coming soon.
β¨ AI document export
Turn any demo into a polished document β then edit, enhance, and export it however you need.
Export demo as the document, and from there:
Rewrite or refine any step with AI
Show or hide the highlight circle per screenshot, and adjust its color
Include voiceover or video avatar transcripts inline
Sync changes back from the demo at any time
When it's ready, export as:
PDF
Word document
Markdown
Copy with images
Useful for sales leave-behinds, onboarding docs, internal guides, or anywhere your demo content needs to live outside Storylane.
ποΈ Voiceover panel
The voiceover editor is now a side panel β no more modal.
Add voiceover per step or generate across all steps at once
Mix AI and manual voiceover across steps in the same demo
Adjust voice, speed, and position without leaving the editor
Enhance all step text at once with a custom prompt or a preset tone (Conversational, Casual, Professional)
Delete all voiceovers in bulk from the delete modal
π¨ Editor dark and light theme
The editor now supports Light, Dark, and System theme. Switch from the hamburger menu β Theme.
βοΈ Bulk screen editing
Apply edits β blur, crop, annotations β across multiple screens at once. Select the screens you want to update, make the change once, and it applies to all of them. Useful when the same area (a logo, an email address, sensitive data) appears consistently across steps.
πΊοΈ Presenter notes: jump to any step
Sales notes now include a chapter and step navigator at the bottom of each note. Jump directly to any chapter or step without closing the panel β useful when a prospect asks to revisit a specific part of the demo mid-call.

{} Personalization tokens in CTAs
You can now insert personalization tokens (first name, company, industry, region, and custom fields) into any CTA button across demos and hubs. Click the {} icon inside the CTA text field to open the token picker.

π₯οΈ Desktop app improvements
Added "Add to Existing Demo" flow with chapter selection
Deep link support to open a specific project and chapter from a URL
Fixed step counter, missing auth token and app icons
Thanks for trusting us. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at support@storylane.io.
